Senate PRESIDENT Ahmad Lawan called on Nigerian political leaders to come together in an attempt to address the challenges facing the country.
He said no part of the country on its own could solve a problem that had engulfed all parts of the country.

Lawan, the statement said, spoke at a reception in Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti state on Saturday after Supreme Ruler Oluyin of Iyin Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye conferred the title on him. chiefdom of Aare Akorewolu of the kingdom of Iyin.
He said, “I mean today’s challenges are surmountable challenges. All we need is to come together as a people, to face challenges, no matter how difficult they may seem.
“Once we are united, we are purposeful; we can meet these challenges, most of them, if not all of them, and continue the march to make Nigeria a success, a great country, as our founding fathers envisioned.
“Today we are facing not only political but even security challenges in all regions of the country. What this requires is that all parts of Nigeria, especially political leaders, come together.
“Whether the problems are most prevalent in the North West, South West or South East or even in any part of the country, all hands must be on the bridge and this will be the secret of our success. . ”
